L.A. Economy Project Data
Seven years of employment and payroll information (1996-2002) for each employer in Los Angeles County was analyzed, along with detailed information about the residential labor force of the City of Los Angeles to produce a data library for strategic economic planning. Major categories of information include: the industry base in each area of the city and growth trends and wages; the residential labor force in each area of the city and skill levels and earnings; and the informal economy – its size and the industries responsible for offering unreported jobs.
